Description
The Sculptor 1 Automata Kit
This vintage item is an easy-to-assemble moving model automata kit titled "The Sculptor" that was designed exclusively for the Tate Gallery by Keith Newstead.
The assembly pieces are made of heavy stock paper and this model has four movements which are:
- Firstly, the artist uses his hammer to finish shaping the arm of his female statue
- Secondly, the arm of the statue breaks off
- Thirdly, the statue's face changes to being horrified and in pain
- Fourthly, the artist ducks his head to miss the falling arm
Completing The Sculptor 1 Automata Kit is rewarding and educational. It contributes to visual development, develops problem-solving skills, and fosters curiosity and exploration.
In addition, this moving model is easy to make, it's a terrific conversation starter, and it's amusing. It would make a fantastic gift for just about anyone.
