Mills Gum Vending Machine
This collector’s item is an original vintage coin-operated gum dispenser made by Mills Automatic Merchandising. It is stainless steel with a 1¢ coin slot, 6 columns, and a pull tab. Some of the original gum is still inside.
From the early to mid-1900s, these types of machines were located at the platforms of railway stations and were also placed in factories and plants to provide refreshments. This particular machine was originally mounted on a stand and was located in the New York subways during the 1920s.
In addition, the Mills Gum Vending Machine measures approximately 16″ tall x 10″ wide x 5″ deep and weighs approximately 15 pounds. Furthermore, it works and is in excellent condition. This item is a great investment and makes a great gift for collectors and New York history buffs
