Big Boy Bobblehead
A vintage collectible Funko Wacky Wobbler based on the iconic mascot for the popular hamburger restaurant chain, Bob’s Big Boy.
This chubby boy in red-and-white checkered overalls holding a double-decker cheeseburger was the very first bobblehead manufactured by Funko in 1998.
Bob’s Big Boy restaurant in Glendale. California was originally called “Bob’s Pantry” until a cute chubby 6-year-old boy named Richard Woodruff (1932-1986) walked into the diner.
At that same time, the restaurant manager was trying to come up with a name for the new double-decker cheeseburger. When the manager saw Woodruff he said, “Hello, Big Boy”. Right then he named the hamburger “Big Boy”.
