Antique Soapstone Shou Lao Statue
This collector's item is an antique hand-carved soapstone statue depicting the sagely immortal Chinese God/Star of longevity, Shou Lau (also known as Shou Xing).
He is an old bald man with a large forehead (represents wisdom) and a long mustache (represents long life) and he is holding a peach (symbol of immortality) and a staff (represents peach tree branch).
The statue is no longer attached to a base. However, it has no cracks or dents and is in excellent condition. It makes a terrific gift for elders.
