Wizard of Oz Dolls. Rare special collector edition Dolls made Madame Alexander. These dolls were created to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the iconic MGM theatrical motion picture, “The Wizard of Oz”. These collectible dolls are based on two of the movie’s main characters, the Cowardly Lion and the Tinwoodman (also known as “Tin Man”). They each measure approximately 8″ tall.

The Madame Alexander Doll Company was founded in 1923 Beatrice Alexander. Throughout the 1920s her dolls were considered some of the most popular toys in America. In addition, Mme. Alexander was the first company to create dolls resembling famous characters in books, film, music, and art. Because of their realistic and high-quality craftsmanship, these licensed dolls are still among America’s most popular toys.
