Why You Don't Want to Miss Collect-A-Con 2026

The Collect-A-Con 2026 shows will be perfect whether you’re a seasoned collector, a reseller, or a new collector that's just getting started.

If you're in SoCal like we are, the Los Angeles event is one of the biggest events of the year. Attending these events provides a great opportunity to:

  • Network with other fellow collectors
  • Acquire exclusive convention pieces
  • Sell or trade inventory in person
  • Learn more about market trends
  • Discover new items before they spike
  • Have your items professionally graded and/or authenticated

Tips for Attendees

If you’re planning to attend a Collect-A-Con 2026 event, we suggest you prepare a little beforehand. Bring items that facilitate trading, researching, purchasing, and protecting your items while maintaining personal comfort during a long day on the convention floor. Here are some tips:

  • Icon Cash Bring cash with you because some vendors offer better deals when you pay with cash instead of using an app or a credit card.
  • Icon Budget Set a spending limit before you go. It's easy to get excited and swept up in the moment then when you get home you realize you overspent. Setting a budget can help prevent that from happening.
  • Icon Walking Do a full lap around the entire event right when you get there before making big purchases so you are aware of all possibilities.
  • Icon Card Sleeves Be sure to bring some sleeve protectors and top-loaders with you to the event if you plan on buying trading cards of any kind.
  • Icon Power Bank Have a portable power bank handy. Finding available outlets at the venue might be difficult so keeping a backup battery is a great idea if you plan on using your phone a lot to conduct research and/or take photos.
  • Icon Backpack Get a comfortable, roomy backpack to hold your belongings, trades, and purchases so you don't have to hold anything by hand. Just know that backpacks will most likely be searched by security personnel upon entering.
  • Icon Drink Carry an empty bottle/tumbler. As discussed, bringing liquids is prohibited but you can bring an empty container to refill at a water fountains or bottle refilling stations.
  • Icon Sanitizer Pack hand sanitizer. It is currently cold and flu season and since you will be touching a lot of handles, tables, and other things that hundreds of other people are also touching, it's a good idea to use an antibacterial agent periodically.
  • Icon Shoes Wear comfortable shoes because there's a lot of ground to cover. Spending the day at a convention is not the time to break in new shoes.

Also, while you're there, remember to pace yourself. The Collect-A-Con 2026 venue is large and often crowded so it’s easy to get overwhelmed. By pacing yourself, both your body and your wallet will last longer.

Final Thoughts

Collect-A-Con 2026 can become one of the defining events in the collectibles world. Whether you’re hunting for a holy grail, hoping to add to your collection, or just enjoying the culture, Collect-A-Con 2026 is worth marking on your calendar and setting the time aside to attend.
